FBI - Online Safety & Awareness program

Upper St. Clair School District will host an Online Safety & Awareness program at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024, in the Boyce Middle School theater. FBI Community Outreach Specialist Felicia Trovato will lead the town hall-style program.Upper St. Clair School has partnered with the FBI to provide Online Safety and Awareness presentations to parents as well as students. Throughout the last several weeks, Ms. Trovato has presented uniquely designed and age-appropriate programs to students at Boyce and Fort Couch middle schools as well as Upper St. Clair High School. The programs are designed to educate students about the dangers of digital footprints and the intentional and unintentional risks of sharing digital data.Ms. Trovato will provide an overview of the programs that were previously presented to students, the trends of current cases in the Pittsburgh region, and the indicators of exploitation of children and teens online. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A session.The evening program is intended for all district parents and caregivers. It is recommended that any students attending be high school-aged or older.Ms. Trovato joined FBI Headquarters in 2009. She has been assigned to the FBI Pittsburgh Field Office since 2019.
