Fort on the Field
Ft. Couch Middle School Students are invited to march with the
Upper St. Clair High School Marching Band on
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27
At USC High School 5:00pm - End of the football game
*5:00pm: A Ft. Couch family pizza tailgate kicks off Fort on the Field! Ft. Couch students and their families will gather at the high school. PLEASE RSVP so we know you’re coming! (RSVP deadline has passed - email Julie with questions.)
*6:00pm: Ft. Couch students will be paired with high school musicians, Pantherettes, or Color Guard mentors. This is your “Band Buddy.” Your Band Buddy will be with you throughout the evening. Please wear black pants. A super cool “Fort on the Field” t-shirt will be given to you at the tailgate. No shorts and no flip flops please.
*6:45pm: Ft. Couch students will march with the high school marching band into the football stadium. Families can proceed to the stadium gates for entry into the game. The USC Athletic Department has generously donated football game tickets to all family members of Fort on the Field participants!
*7:00pm: Pre-game! Ft. Couch students will play cheers with the band in the end zone and a portion of the pregame show on the field with the band. Ft. Couch students: you’ll have the opportunity to rehearse ahead of time, so you’ll be ready!
DURING THE GAME
*7:30pm: Kickoff! Ft. Couch students will sit with the band buddies in the marching band section of the stadium and will participate in the halftime show! All musicians will play stand songs together and cheer our team to victory! The USC Band Parents Association and Ft. Couch volunteers will chaperone the group. For safety, no students will be permitted to leave the marching band section unless a parent provides a note in advance and picks up the student personally.
*Ft. Couch students will march off the field with the band. Parents: pick up your children in the theater lobby.
Rehearsals for the event are held at Ft. Couch during the school day or during regularly scheduled morning band. Detailed information will be communicated in October.
