Fort on the Field
Friday, September 21st
Call Time: 5:00pm
Calling all Ft. Couch Band Students and future Pantherettes, Majorettes, Color Guard and Band Managers!
Join us to spend an evening marching with the Upper St. Clair High School Marching Band!
5:00pm: A family pizza tailgate kicks off Fort on the Field!
5:45pm: Ft. Couch students will meet up with high school musicians, Pantherettes, or Color Guard mentors.
6:15pm: Ft. Couch students will march with the high school marching band into the football stadium. Families can proceed to the stadium gates for entry into the game. The USC Athletic Department has generously donated football game tickets to family members of Fort on the Field participants!
6:30pm: Pre-game! Ft. Couch students will play cheers with the band in the end zone and a portion of the pregame show on the field with the band. Ft. Couch students: you’ll have the opportunity to rehearse ahead of time, so you’ll be ready!
DURING THE GAME
7:00pm: Kickoff! Ft. Couch students will sit with the band in the marching band section of the stadium and will participate in the halftime show! All musicians will play stand songs together and cheer our team to victory! The USC Band Parents Association and Ft. Couch volunteers will chaperone the group. For safety, no students will be permitted to leave the marching band section unless a parent provides a note in advance and picks up the student personally.
Ft. Couch students will march off the field with the band. Parents: pick up your children in the theater lobby.
Rehearsals for the event are held at Ft. Couch during the school day or during regular morning band rehearsals.
Students wear black pants, black socks, dark closed-toe shoes and a white base layer (t-shirt). A super cool “Fort on the Field” t-shirt will be given to your student when they check in for dinner. No shorts or flip flops please!
Please RSVP before September 7th. You can sign up online by visiting the USC Band Parent Association website (www.uscbpa.org). Go to the events tab and click Fort on the Field! You can also reply to Julie Halpner (412-780-1469 or email@example.com).
Many thanks to the USC High School Marching Band, the USC Band Parents Association, the Ft. Couch Middle School PTSO, the USC Athletic Department, and the music staff and administrators at USCHS and Ft. Couch!
