Upper St Clair Band Parents Association is asking friends and family to sponsor wreaths at The National Cemetery of the Alleghenies for the holiday season. When you sponsor a wreath, you honor our military and help support our music program. The USC band programs have a long, proud tradition of participating in local Veterans' Day observances and parades. This fundraiser offers an opportunity to expand on that tradition.
Our Group ID is PA0281P - please use our link or our form, listed below, in order for the USC BPA to be credited with the sponsorship. If our ID is not used, we do not get credit, but your wreath is still placed.

What is Wreaths Across America?
The mission is simple: Remember. Honor Teach.
What started as a wreath company owner in Maine donating surplus wreaths to lay on older, less-visited graves at Arlington National Cemetery in 1992, has become a nationwide volunteer effort to solicit sponsors for wreaths to be laid at National Cemeteries across the country. The wreaths continue to be made in Maine, then are delivered by convoys of volunteer truck drivers to locations across the country. On a designated day each December, a ceremony is held, and each wreath sponsored for that location is laid by volunteers. "A person dies twice: once when they take their final breath, and later, the last time their name is spoken." When wreaths are laid, we SAY THEIR NAME. By saying their names, we continue to remember and honor their service.
The Cemetery of the Alleghenies is located just down the road from Upper St. Clair, in Cecil/Bridgeville PA. Burials began in August 2005, with the formal dedication occurring October 9, 2005.
